Water Meter Upgrade Project

In an effort to improve water conservation, utility operations, and customer service, EPWC will be installing advanced water meters and related meter technology.  The new technology will save labor time, ensure accuracy, and minimize the need for EPWC employees to be on the private property of residents.

Residential meters will be replaced following a route-by-route basis.  All installers will drive marked vehicles.  Businesses will be notified in advance to have the installation scheduled around service hours to limit any impact on operations.  During installation, your water meter will be disconnected briefly.  A typical installation will take less than 30 minutes.  Some minimal flushing may be necessary afterward to purge any air trapped in the service line.  Upon completion, you will receive a door hanger notifying you that your meter was replaced and contact information should you have any questions or concerns.
